Music Ministry

Director of Music:  Patty Dolezal-Neumann

Music is integral to the liturgical celebration.  It allows the community to express convictions and feelings that words alone fail to convey.  It has the power to console, uplift, and strengthen individuals and the unity of the assembly in faith and love.  There are opportunities for all parishioners to participate in OLG’s Music Ministry. Entrance into one of our choirs or ensembles is welcome at any time.

Cantor Ministry
The cantor’s role is to lead the assembly in song.  Those who have a love for singing God’s praise can experience leadership through sung prayer.  Workshops focusing on vocal technique and repertoire are offered 5 times a year for all youth (Grade 7-12) and interested adults.  Workshops are scheduled for Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30p.m.

Resurrection Choir
This ministry provides support through song for grieving families at the funeral liturgy.  A love for singing and the flexibility to be available on short notice is needed.  Advance notice is provided by a phone call or email.
